Murugan Mathu vandhiyileh vandharam

visithra posted a photo: This is one of my favourite sights of Thaipusam. The arrival of Lord Muruga on the bullock cart. And each time I hear the song – Murugan vandharam, murugan vandharam – maatu vandhiyileh (lyrics changed ;p)- playing in my head ;p Every Thaipusam morning, he heads to the river for the dip of the vel in the river.

Thaipusam Pilgrimage

alex.veets posted a photo: I arrived in Kuala Lumpur one balmy February evening to find this view from my rooftop. This evening marked the beginning of the biggest annual Hindu Festival, Thaipusam. Here devotees are beginning the overnight pilgrimage from Kuala Lumpur to the Batu Caves.
