This was an amazing festival I attended to better understand the Hindu religion and the Indian people. I was welcomed into their temple and even offered food and drink as I witnessed friends and family coming together to pray to the God of War Murugan, son of Shiva.

More than 1000 Hindu devotees waited eagerly to witness the silver chariot bearing the statue of Lord Muruga, as it made it’s way from Penang Street to the Nattukottai Chettiar Temple on Waterfall Road.
