My friend Callum from Australia came to Penang. On the Indian auspicious Taipusam day on the 6th February 2012, we stopped by a street seeing people dancing in celebration of the above festivity. My friend joined the dancing..ha..ha..he really enjoyed it.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng visited two temples during Thaipusam 2012. He delivered speeches at Sree Ganeesha Temple and also at the Nattukottai Chettiar Temples. He touched on how Pakatan Rakyat state government has given dignity to all.

This was an amazing festival I attended to better understand the Hindu religion and the Indian people. I was welcomed into their temple and even offered food and drink as I witnessed friends and family coming together to pray to the God of War Murugan, son of Shiva.
