For many Thaipusam devotees, the day begins with a haircut. This 3-year old woke up to a 'good-hair-day'. Shaving of the head is another Thaipusam ritual and many barbers set up stalls there to provide 'instant' services.

During Thaipusam 2013, SNF setup a Drinks Stall (Thannir Panthal) in Batu Caves . Many Hindu Devotees as well as curious visitors were served refreshing cordial drinks were served on 26th and 27th Jan 2013.
